Student biomimics
BiomimicrySA works with a number of departments within South African Universities to integrate biomimicry into the curriculum. For example:
- The Cape Peninsula University of Technology has integrated biomimicry into all of the Design Departments.
- The University of Cape Town Chemical Engineering Department is in the process of integrating biomimicry into some of its undergraduate courses.
We also offer presentations and training workshops at low costs to students and educators at universities. Universities that have participated so far include:
- Wits University APES, Aeronautical Engineering & Architecture Departments
- Stellenbosch University Biochemistry Department & EcoMaties
- Rhodes University Green Club
- University of Johannesburg Design Departments
- University of Cape Town Architecture Department
